Check out the song "Né Quelque Part" by Maxime Le Forestier, covered by Danakil and Booboo’zzz All Stars !
A track recorded and filmed at the Baco Studio in Bordeaux.
In 1986, in response to the "Pasqua Laws," which at the time made immigration conditions stricter in France, Maxime Le Forestier wrote the song " Né quelque part ".This song resonated throughout the country, becoming a part of our childhood memories and embedding itself in the French musical heritage.
This year, the government has decided to stir up controversy again, playing into the hands of the National Rally (RN) by stigmatizing immigration for sordid electoral purposes. Together with our friends from Booboo’zzz All Stars, we took advantage of a day spent together at Baco Studio to re-record this classic, creating a 2024 version of "Né quelque part."
We are among those who see immigration as a source of wealth and who reject the reactionary rhetoric increasingly present in today’s media. All profits from this song will be donated to SOS Méditerranée, an organization that tirelessly carries out risky operations to save human lives at sea, to whom we extend our full support.
