Gabriel Kröger joins the Baco Booking roster!
Who could possibly be hiding behind that mysterious hood? Gabriel Kröger moves forward in disguise, perhaps to dare to go even further in his art, in his ruthless self-examination. It is the eternal paradox of those artists who prefer to hide themselves in order to lay themselves bare even more fully.
On stage, the project extends this effort to separate artistic expression and the sincerity of the lyrics from the performer’s face through the use of hand-crocheted hoods.
After winning the Inrocks Super Club finals earlier this year,Un an sans soleil”, which he describes as the first installment of his “trilogie sans soleil ”. Listening to these confessional tracks, one ultimately realizes that Gabriel Kröger doesn’t need to show his face to reveal who he is: a major breakthrough in today’s young Francophone music scene. Having performed at Rock en Seine, FGO Barbara, Inrocks Festival, Supersonicand We Love Green, Gabriel Kröger was on the lineup for MaMa this year.
