Twenty years ago, one of the major bands in the French-speaking reggae scene was born: DANAKILThe group grew and evolved, leading to 2008 with the release of their album “DIALOGUE DE SOURDS”, which marked the band's professional breakthrough and brought them to the forefront of the scene. This album was crafted in the studio with sound engineer Damien “ BOBBY ” Coutrot, who has been working with them both on stage and in the studio ever since. BOBBY is also known for his collaborations with numerous bands like Groundation, Yaniss Odua, VolodiaTen years ago, the group traveled to Bamako to record, where they met the Franco-Malian artist MANJUL in his studio
This encounter sparked an artistic collaboration between BOBBY and MANJUL, two passionate figures of reggae and dub, who have become studio and live companions over the past decade.

Today, they are presenting "DIALOGUE DE DUB" together. This is a dub version of DANAKIL’s iconic album, crafted by the duo on the mixing console at Baco StudioTwo of the album’s standout tracks, “Les Vieillards" and "Marley”, have been enhanced with additional organ and melodica takes, staying true to the pure tradition of reggae dub.
