Thanks to this huge success, a second Paris show has been scheduled at La Maroquinerie on April 16, 2027! The duo is also putting the finishing touches on new tracks that we’ll get to enjoy soon… Their sound—a blend of old-school hip-hop, trip-hop, and jazz—is irresistibly charming and makes you want to play their songs over and over again. With every listen, the listener is drawn deeper into their timeless music, further confirming their genius.
Frizzy P, a singer and songwriter, and Mr. Cole, a composer and beatmaker, met in 2015 in the Paris suburbs. Frizzy P, shaped by a nomadic past spent between London and France, draws on her dual Anglo-Saxon and French cultural heritage to create a unique vision that she expresses with a captivating voice that blends rap and singing. The other, a self-taught artist with a passion for organic sounds, tirelessly cuts samples that resonate with vintage and boom bap vibes. Together, they combine their talents to bring their project to life.
Their discography includes a trilogy titled “Ladi Dadi” and a side project called “The Backroom Tape”. They gradually reveal themselves through these works, offering a glimpse into the full depth of their musical alchemy. The music features a solid trip-hop foundation with jazzy accents—enveloping, hypnotic, and perfectly groovy—as well as highly evocative songwriting with often introspective lyrics, in which personal experience sometimes gives way to broader social commentary and critique. A harmonious blend of dream and reality, amplified by an energy that comes from deep within.
