Groundation présente le deuxième single de son prochain album studio « Candle Burning ». Une chanson puissante intitulée « The Youth » où le leader Harrison Stafford est aux côtés de deux légendes : le roi du reggae africain,Alpha Blondy, et l’incontournable Mykal Rose show of Black Uhuru.
« The Youth » parle du moment fugace de l’adolescence, de ces années de jeunesse, de cette période de pureté de force et de potentiel illimité. C’est une chanson sur la force inarrêtable de la jeunesse, qui avance avec feu, apparemment inconsciente de la brièveté et de la valeur de chaque instant.
En parlant de la composition de la chanson de Groundation, Mykal Rose lui-même a déclaré : « Cette chanson me rappelle les Beatles », et c’est un énorme compliment !
Le groupe sera en tournée cet été et cet automne en Europe !

Constantly on the lookout for new ideas, they have released numerous albums, EPs, remixes and collaborations. Now Tetra Hydro K join forces with Baco Music for Booking, Distribution, Label and Publishing.
Tetra Hydro K is the name of a secret laboratory run by Doctor Kanay and Doctor Krilong. Their research focuses on combining organic elements (live musical instruments) in an electronic universe.
When specialists began to work on these mixtures, they tore out their hair to define them: Is it electronic? Acoustic? Dub? Drum'n'Bass? Why can't we stop dancing? Naturally, the duo got out of their lab to practice their experiments live, where the audience cheered them on.

The songs on this album tell stories of life passages and experiences that many of us have gone through or will go through, inevitably. The underlying message is purely positive, urging us to hold our heads high even in difficult times, putting failure into perspective and celebrating the successes that we encounter during our lives. I’ve always believed that a song can help someone get through a situation by showing them that others have lived the same things or felt the same emotions. 22 years in the business. Tens of thousands of kilometers on the TourBus that has taken them to the four corners of the world. From a teenage dream in the early 2000s, when the band played a series of "hat" dates in the most underground cafés, to a decade later playing the biggest venues in France, a series of Zeniths and mainstream festivals, bringing their rootsy, committed music to as many people as possible.

At Baco Music, in direct collaboration with the media department manager and the artistic director, you will contribute to the development strategy of our projects (Danakil, Peet, Groundation, Yoshi, Clinton Fearon, Protoje, Lila Iké, etc…)on social media and be in charge of creating audiovisual content for these same platforms.

“HereWeGoAgain" brings a wave of motivation to reggae/dub fans. Filled with trap influences, this track was created with Konchuzin Jamaica and is a powerful, upbeat anthem inspired by the energizing party atmosphere and carefree vibe of the island's traditional sound systems.
TWAN TEE continues to rise and will soon present a new album.
His flow, combined with bold productions blending reggae/dub, bass music, dancehall, and trap, has allowed TWAN TEE o create a unique sound, always supported by producer ODDY on each of his projects.
Released in April 2023, his latest album “INNERGY ” was enthusiastically received by an ever-growing audience discovering and supporting his work. This unique project began in 2014 when Australian producer Jake Savona traveled from Jamaica to Cuba for the first time and envisioned the sounds of both islands coming together. A year later, he repeated the journey, this time joined by a legendary team of reggae musicians (including Sly & Robbie!), and the story was written. There was magic in the air in Havana; the studio sessions were electrifying, the musical chemistry was palpable, and fortunately, an introductory video for the project went viral.
This helped the project gain an international audience, and the two studio albums, released in 2017 and 2022, received worldwide critical acclaim.
For the first time in history, Cuban and Jamaican musicians toured together, blending the sounds and styles of both islands. Havana Meets Kingston appeared at major festivals
in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Europe, and had the privilege of performing at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms in 2018

This year, the government has decided to stir up controversy again, playing into the hands of the National Rally (RN) by stigmatizing immigration for sordid electoral purposes. Together with our friends from Booboo’zzz All Stars, we took advantage of a day spent together at Baco Studio to re-record this classic, creating a 2024 version of "Né quelque part."
We are among those who see immigration as a source of wealth and who reject the reactionary rhetoric increasingly present in today’s media. All profits from this song will be donated to SOS Méditerranée, an organization that tirelessly carries out risky operations to save human lives at sea, to whom we extend our full support.

On a trap/drill production with John Makabi (Aya Nakamura, Fally Ipupa) handling the arrangements, Almä Mango plays with the codes and traps of the rap world, telling the story of mastering the art of juggling to carve out a place while remembering that it’s all just a game!
For this upcoming album, built with her team but also with a larger circle, Almä Mango also enlisted Louis Dureau (Larry, 13 Block, Tsew The Kid, Lorenzo) and Shawn Jobin for the production and arrangements of several tracks. Since 2011, Baco Music has developed various activities that complement its original role as a label. Today, Baco Music includes booking, publishing, physical and digital distribution, a studio, an online store, and a radio station with a continuous stream... Baco Music is now looking for a person on a work-study contract to join its communications team ! This person will assist in managing the company and artists' social media accounts and participate in the communication strategy for our various activities.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Head of Communications and the Artistic Direction Communications Manager, you will help with the following tasks:
— Participating in the communication strategy for the different projects of the organization.
— Collaborating with the communications team on the "Baco Music" brand image and its presence on social media.
— Researching and proposing creative ideas for managing Baco Music’s social media, as well as artists' pages.

The Baco Music team is looking for, a freelance graphic designer based in Bordeaux. TWAN TEE presents his new album “INNERGY” in collaboration with producer ODDY, his longtime musical partner and friend. This second studio album, available on vinyl and digital, once again champions the recipe that TWAN TEE has been advocating since his debut: a blend of musical genres, unified by his unique and impactful flow.
Year after year, TWAN TEE is establishing himself as one of the most promising artists of his generation. Each of his new releases shakes up the music scene and becomes a must-have in the reggae world. This popularity is largely due to ODDY’s finely-tuned productions and advanced mixing techniques. Their collaboration gives rise to soaring reggae tracks, digital dub, seasoned with trap, reggae skanks, and bass music.
Lyrically, TWAN TEE holds his own among his peers in the genre. In this album, he speaks mostly about self-determination, keeping the flame alive as in his track “Keep It Burning,” a true shot of motivation he offers his listeners. This track is also an opportunity for TWAN TEE to showcase his talent by delivering a verse in French—a stylistic choice he reveals for the very first time. This desire was already expressed to Laurent Goumarre and Marion Guilbaud in 2021 during his appearance on the show Côté Club on France Inter.
In this new album, TWAN TEE doesn’t shy away from one of the themes that defines his universe: Love and its complexities. This is especially true with his track “Tell Me,” in which he opens up about his feelings over a captivating rub-a-dub beat. It’s a musical interlude as sweet as it is melancholic.
TWAN TEE also invites other artists from his circle to join him on this new project. We find the Marseillais singer Jahmie Face on the powerful track “Looking 4 This,” which was released a few weeks before the album. He also collaborates with singer Davojah on the track “Caan Push We Over,” with its dub/trap production on a stepper beat that makes heads nod instantly.
With “Live Mi Life,” TWAN TEE delights fans of roots reggae. A slow rhythm, a floating instrumental, and vocal harmonies reminiscent of 70s group choirs. This song inevitably brings to mind his excellent track “On The Road” from his previous album.
“INNERGY” is the convergence of numerous sources of inspiration that TWAN TEE draws from his daily life, his travels, and his encounters. A blend of emotions and styles that gives this second album all the qualities needed to make it one of the must-listen reggae/dub releases of the year.
The legendary JOHNNY OSBOURNE is back with his new single " Kiss Somebody " (recut version), taken from his upcoming album set to be released by Baco Records in May! A live version was captured in our BACO STUDIO by our video team, recorded and mixed by Damien "Bobby" Coutrot, the studio manager!
There's no need to introduce JOHNNY OSBOURNE, a big name in the Jamaican reggae scene who has stood the test of time. Today, he delivers a reworked and modernized version of his track “Kiss Somebody” for which he collaborated with the brilliant musicians of the French Connexion Band, featuring Simon "Saymon" Roger on drums, Mato Cirade on bass, Kubix on guitar, Moktar Wurie on piano and organ, Didier Bolay on trumpet and trombone, Mael "Loeiz" Danion on keyboards and backing vocals, Guillaume "Stepper" Briard on saxophone, backing vocals, and percussion, Henry "Matic" Tenyue on trombone, and finally, Lone Ranger. This collaboration promises a delightful rediscovery of a classic like this one!
This new release is also accompanied by a live session recorded and filmed at Baco Studio. In it, JOHNNY OSBOURNE is joined by part of the French Connexion Band. It's an ideal format for all roots reggae lovers who want to get a real glimpse of the work between these incredibly talented artists.

VANZO has just released his first album, available on Baco Records !
The Jamaican artist VANZO unveils his debut album, adding another milestone to his already very promising career. Considered by his peers as one of the rising stars of Dancehall in Jamaica today, his crystal-clear voice and smooth flow are already setting dance floors and sound systems on fire across the Atlantic. VANZO delivers an authentic 10-track album that transports us to the heart of Yard and into the life of a young Jamaican from Spanish Town.
Until now, VANZO's success was mainly concentrated in Jamaica, but his track "Rumours" finally broke through borders, making its way to France on Radio Nova’s airwaves. Then, his song "Hardest" made it onto the playlist of the famous station.
For the release of his new album, the track "Officer" is the standout. It's arguably one of the most accomplished songs on the project. It’s a powerful testimony, reflecting VANZO’s experience and that of an entire generation living in Jamaica’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods. Volodia will be performing at New Morning in Paris on March 3rd! He will present his new album "Pour Toujours" (released on November 18th under Baco Records), joined by special guests as fiery as he is.
For this third album, Volodia returns to reggae influences, carried by poetic and impactful lyrics. Who is B-LOW?
Coming from a classical background, studying clarinet, B-LOW quickly became a self-taught musician, passionate about creating sound. His journey has included piano, bass, trombone, tuba...

This piece is a “Marre” track remix, released by Danakil the day before the first 2022 election round. For this remix, it’s the jamaican Bounty Killer who was invited to the side of Balik to reinvent the tune.
A cry from the heart, that of this female artist who established herself as one of the first singers and songwriters in reggae/dancehall at the dawn of the 90s.
In a male-dominated society, QUEENOMEGA proudly carries the voice of women, too often silenced. She encourages the new generation, with its undeniable spiritual and emotional power, to continue the fight for gender equality. Once again, QUEENOMEGA 's lyrics are filled with conscious messages. Drawing inspiration from her own life experience, she expresses with great emotion and pride how important it is to assert one's rights, as a woman, mother, or worker. She also reminds us of how crucial the role of women is in maintaining the fragile balance of our societies. With a roots reggae instrumental, "Lioness" is a feminist anthem, an ode to all the women of this world.
Queen Omega, whose real name is Jeneile Osborne, was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, a Caribbean island just north of Venezuela. Encouraged by her mother, Queen began performing in talent shows at the age of 9, writing her own Calypso songs and rapping on national television channels.
A few years later, she sang in the choir for a local producer named Kenny Phillips, which allowed her to back some of the best Soca artists in Trinidad, both on stage and in the studio. Raised in a family of music lovers and musicians, she grew up listening to soul artists like Aretha Franklin, Anita Baker, and Whitney Houston, as well as jazz and traditional music from her homeland. These early influences played a key role in shaping her future singing career, although as she grew, her favorite styles became reggae and dancehall.
After discovering the Rastafari religion and the teachings of Emperor Haile Selassie I, her songwriting talents took on more realistic themes about the modern world and her African heritage.
In the late 2000s, during a trip to Jamaica for her performance with the group Solomon at the Caribbean Music Expo festival, she met producer Mickey D, who would later invite her to London for studio sessions and live performances. This collaboration led to the release of her first album,QUEEN OMEGA.
This was followed by several hits and another album, "PURE LOVE" . In early 2004, her third album, "AWAY FROM BABYLON" ,was released by Jet Star, marking her most accomplished work to date. At the time, she was still a part of Mickey D’s Green House family.
With three albums and several memorable live performances, Queen Omega opened the door for female artists in roots reggae. She continued her career, releasing a significant number of songs. With the musical support of talented French producers Bost & Bim & Special Delivery Music, her vocal power became undeniable, and her combination of singing and deejay-style toasting set her apart.
She also demonstrated her impressive ability to write straightforward, conscious songs. Queen Omega has paved the way for a promising career in roots reggae, like no other woman in the genre before her. Some of her standout tracks that have marked generations include "Selassie I Know", "Love Each Other", "Me Beg Yu", "Keep The Faith", "No Retire", her collaboration with Buju Banton "Perfect Combination", and the song "Destiny".
Her distinct voice, conscious lyrics, and great instrumentals – fresh, original, and inspired by covers – make Queen Omega ’s albums valuable additions to any collection. Between 2008 and 2012, Queen Omega continued to perform at major reggae festivals, including the Northwest World Music Festival (OR) in North America, Brazil, and France. In 2012, she released her album produced by High Fly Music, accompanied by a tour in France, Germany, and Reunion Island to promote the album. That same year, Queen was honored with the Merlin Lynn Taitt Award in the Music category.
Since then, she has graced the stages of major reggae festivals such as Reggae Rising (USA), SNWMF (USA), Garance Festival (FR), Reggae Jam (DE), African Music Festival (DE), and São Paulo Reggae Fest (BR).
After releasing her 2021 EP STARS ALIGN, with Afro and contemporary dancehall vibes, including a collaboration with Ghana’s Afrobeat artist Stonebwoy, Queen returned to Europe in 2022 for a summer tour featuring major festivals like Paléo Music, Reggae Jam (DE & UK), No Logo (FR), Overjam (SL), and Reggaeboa (ES). The tour kicked off in early July and was marked by the release of her first single, “Fittest”, on July 8, from her upcoming album produced by Lionsflow Productions, to be released by BACO RECORDS.
This album, eagerly awaited by her fans for over 10 years, promises many surprises, including incredible and unexpected collaborations with gems from the industry. The reggae ambassador from Trinidad returns strong, with her signature style of reggae and dancehall, blending exquisite vocal harmonies with deejay-style toasting!

" Long Way Home » is the second single from MARCUS GAD " Ready For Battle". It is a song written for his country, his island New Caledonia, when the distance was felt the most.
As he explains to us, when you're away from home, sometimes you have surprisingly realistic memories that pop up. It's official, the collaborative album between the group DANAKIL and the Touraine duo ONDUBGROUND will be released on December 9!
For this release, the DANAKIL, very attached to their values of independence, wanted to highlight crucial players in the music industry: independent record stores. From November 18 to December 9, it will therefore be possible to obtain a preview of the new album “DANAKIL MEETS ONDUBGROUND PART.2” at all the partner record stores of the operation.
These record stores play an essential role in promoting independent productions, by highlighting “niche” references that cannot be found anywhere else. Also, to support their passionate work, it was obvious for the DANAKIL to offer them this exclusive preview.
In addition to supporting their economic model weakened by the decline in sales of physical albums, it is also a means of encouraging local trade, where exchanges are favored and listening to music is facilitated. GROUNDATION (formed in 1998 by singer and guitarist HARRISON STAFFORD) will present their 10th studio album“ONE ROCK”, released on May 13, 2022.
After over two decades of performing on the biggest international stages, GROUNDATION has become an essential headliner in the reggae world. 2018 marked the beginning of a new era as the band was revitalized by a new generation of virtuoso musicians, still led by HARRISON STAFFORD. The album's arrangements and complex rhythms, surprising melodies, combined with Harrison Stafford's distinctive voice and energy, define this new album and reinforce the unique artistic identity of the California band.
CLINTON FEARON will open the night with his band, "THE RIDDIM SOURCE"A singer, songwriter, and bassist of the legendary GLADIATORS, Clinton then embarked on an incredibly prolific solo career (with no fewer than 13 albums!), solidifying his place as a global reggae star.
His new album,« BREAKING NEWS »(released June 3, 2022), was written in just a few months during the COVID-19 pandemic. The album was entirely recorded with the French musicians of « THE RIDDIM SOURCE » who will be performing with him on stage. According to Clinton's own words, " the best band he’s ever played with! ".

After the release of the powerful single " Fittest" marking QUEEN OMEGA's big comeback, she presents her new single: " WiseQueens" .
This track is a magnificent and energetic collaboration of three artists from Trinidad and Tobago: JALIFA, KUSHITE and QUEEN OMEGA.
The song is about women, expressing a sense of stability, focus, and strength. It’s delivered with a fierce and proud tone, set to a roots production by LionsFlow Productions.
QUEEN OMEGA, KUSHITE and JALIFA each have very distinct vocal styles. The song shares this multitude of feminine energies with the world. Brought together by Trinidadian producer Jah Trebel, the idea was to unite the three female reggae ambassadors of the island, and beyond!
In the video, you'll find them surrounded by other women of all generations. Numerous portraits of shopkeepers, DJs, seamstresses, haberdashers, laborers, and bakers are also highlighted. It’s an ode to sisterhood with a colorful display of traditional outfits, directed by filmmaker Hood.

Released in 2005, this iconic track of French rap remains strikingly relevant... over 5 minutes of raw truth, served without a chorus, taking the listener on a perpetual, frenzied, and intense loop, by one of the finest lyricists in the movement.
Directed by MONSIEUR TOK and filmed in the vastness of Canada, dive into the clip for "Louve" alongside CHEEKO , exploring the abyss of nature and an ice sheet almost suffocating in its emptiness. The nearly ghostly presence embodied by the wolf serves as a reminder—a nearly omnipresent, strong, and wild memory. It’s with the greatest regret that we have to reschedule the upcoming March/April planned European tour of GROUNDATION once again. Some shows are already canceled due to the present COVID-19 situation. Unfortunately the conditions are still not met in order to tour for so long through so many countries:
> The rules of entry in European countries are different and they may change depending on the pandemic situation. Some
countries could impose a quarantine or others measures to enter in, and it can’t be anticipated.
> The shows with standing crowds are still forbidden in certain countries, or could be forbidden between now and March
depending on the situation.
The new club tour will be therefore postponed to October 11th through November 13th, 2022. If you have already bought tickets,
you can contact the venue or the box office in order to know if the tickets are still valid.

Discover the new video for MANJUL 's "Human Being", taken from his latest album " Sound Therapy ", co-directed with FX and Yvo.
Directed by the talented Fred POULET, " Human Being " is an anthem to diversity and openness to the world. Archival footage shot in Super 8 from the early 20th century plays in sequence, intertwining to form an atypical, almost disorienting visual piece. It is a tribute from MANJUL to all the cultures that shape and reshape his influences. It’s like a celebration of this multicultural world in which his music comes to life. Dance, again and again. Sometimes frantic, often transcendent, but always present across ages and peoples.
Recorded in several studios between Paris, Mali, Jamaica, and Réunion, " Sound Therapy " brings together and expresses a wide spectrum of emotions and cultural particularities.
The CROSSING (METAL VERSION) project was born from Lois' dual "reggae-metal" culture. Lois, has been playing guitar forTwanTee for several years now, both on stage and in the production of his projects.
When LOIS first presented the remixes of the CROSSINGalbum, we immediately realized we were listening to something unique, something completely new. An hybrid fusion of reggae and metal, where the softness of the vocals and harmony work were combined with the raw strength of the instrumentals, revisited in a harder, rockier, and more metal way.
Many of us share this dual culture, characteristic of those growing up in the 80s/90s. Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, and other Rage Against The Machine were the golden age of "heavy" rock. Meanwhile, the best Jamaican Roots bands were touring internationally, with audiences unaware of the incredible chance they had to see these legendary bands live. Although today these two styles may seem distant or even opposites, it’s important to highlight what they have in common. Metalheads and reggae fans share more than just an unconditional love for their respective musical styles. The spirit of these bands and labels can be defined by a few key words: Independence, DIY, and commitment.
Another commonality worth mentioning is the total lack of representation in mainstream media. Little to no airplay and a general disinterest for the artists at the heart of these two movements. So we didn’t hesitate. Two "hard-to-sell" styles? Combined in the same project? Even though both audiences are often considered "difficult" and sometimes even "sectarian"? That’s for us!
Looking back, we feel we’ve helped build an aesthetically original and ambitious project. Given the constraints imposed by respecting these two radically different aesthetics in terms of production, recording techniques, mixing, and mastering, we have every reason to be proud. The result is unique because we succeeded in preserving the intrinsic qualities of each style: melodic arrangements of the vocals, drum tricks, the heaviness of guitar riffs, and bass groove.
Indeed, transitioning from a reggae project to its metal adaptation... is not that simple! For this, we called upon the crème de la crème of the French "metal" scene. Confined and with their tours postponed, these musicians, like all of us, were at home, waiting for the end of the world.
Morgan Berthet (MYRATH and ADAGIO, among others) SHOB , an expert bassist (Eths, Keishah, Kubiac…) completed the trio of musicians and brought Lois a range of technical and melodic skills necessary to bring this groundbreaking project to life!
If you like metal, this project is for you. If you like reggae, this project is also for you. And if you don’t like either... there’s still a chance this project might be for you! It's worth giving it a try, right?

MANJUL (Dub To Mali, Sugar Minott, African Brothers, Takana Zion, Azania Band, Danakil), a multi-instrumentalist, singer, mix engineer, and producer, presents a new album, the result of a collaboration with sound engineer FRANÇOIS FX VILAVERDE and drummer YVO ABADI!

This work is a testament to their friendships and collaborations, bringing together a diverse group of musicians, singers, and vocalists from different backgrounds, musical expressions, and generations.
Recorded in various studios in Paris, Mali, Jamaica, and Reunion Island, this album expresses a wide range of emotions and cultural particularities. On this project, you’ll find artists from the Indian Ocean islands, Comoros, Congo, Mali, Guyana, Jamaica, and France, creating reggae tracks with roots influences. These songs, colored by multiple musical influences, tackle deep themes and represent "a musical journey within and around each individual, driven by the therapeutic power that ‘sound’ offers to all living beings."
Beyond its purely musical aspect, YVO ABADI, also a painter and illustrator, adds a visual dimension to the project by designing the album’s artwork. This album was meticulously crafted, with the trio developing a precise creative process. Instrumental themes are proposed by MANJUL and arranged by YVO ABADI who brings his rhythmic sensitivity. The sound direction and enhancement are overseen by FX VILAVERDE throughout the recording and mixing process, in addition to his contributions on keyboards, bass, trumpet, percussion, and vocals. MANJUL lead vocals also feature on 4 tracks in different languages and styles.
This project also includes several high-profile collaborations with special guests: CLINTON FEARON, CEDRIC MYTON, CORNELL CAMPBELL, BACO MOURCHID, TIKOK VELLAYE, VALERIE TRIBORD, JUPITER AND OKWESS and many others. Among the musicians, talented artists such as CYRIL ATEF, TARANTABABU, saxophonist RICO GAULTIER (Faya Horns Roots Heritage, etc.), trombonist DIDIER BOLAY (Tiken Jah Fakoly, Inna De Yard, etc.), and guitarists KUBIX (IJahman Levi, …) and HUGH VALOT (Alpha Blondy, etc.) provide the rhythm.. You’ll also find AHMED FOFANA on kora and balafon (Lauryn Hill, Toumani Diabate, etc.), and SHAKY NORMAN on melodica!

Almost five years after "LA RUE RAISONNE", here's a drum roll: "RIEN NE SE TAIT", Danakil's eleventh album! And with it, a wonderful opportunity to sip a bit of hope, light, and groove in a music scene hard hit by the crisis.
At the very least, the year 2020 gave Danakil the time to carefully craft these thirteen new songs with warm and captivating tones. Alternately inspired, light-hearted, or socially engaged, they weave a rich and harmonious tapestry shaped by what made the band famous: a powerful bass-and-drum foundation, an always fiery brass section, and a masterful ensemble of keyboards, guitar, and
percussion.
Above it all, the voices of BALIK and NATTY JEAN, reinforced by a feature from AKHENATON, unfold the full range of their virtuosity with multiple influences.
On the lyrical side, cultural diversity and political reflection sit alongside more personal and everyday themes like the power of dreams or family. Danakil's uniqueness lies in its attempt to both move and denounce, with a dual ambition to awaken civic awareness and to re-enchant the world through music.
The search for harmony, in short... An aspiration in which the track "Ensemble" stands out from the others: in this year where the band celebrates its 20th anniversary, it takes the form of a tribute to Danakil's journey, the strength of its collective, and its incredible love story with the audience.
This anniversary is also symbolized by this first album recorded in the brand-new studios of Baco Records in Bordeaux. Now fully in control of the production process, Danakil has never pushed its independence this far! A good omen for the future, and for all the artists represented by the label.
Listening to this eleventh album, something remains inexplicable: this irresistible urge to dance that grips you from the very first notes. A gentle vibration, the mark of great albums, to which one surrenders all the more readily upon realizing how much it has been missed.

Kid of the 90s, TWAN TEE is an artist who grows up immersing himself in different universes including Jamaican culture, hip-hop or bass music.
As a teenager in the Paris region, he began to compose his first riddims from his bedroom. At the age of 20, he asserted his style and made his first voice recordings, while learning in various sound systems.
But it's when he meets ROOTS ATTACK that TWAN TEE imposes his musicality.
He collaborates many times with this powerful and authentic reggae collective, inspired by the Jamaican golden age (70's -80's) and with whom he will release his EP "PRESENTING TWAN TEE" inviting talented singers like JOSEPH COTTON or ILEMENTS ...
At 25, he moved to Bordeaux and quickly found a place in the local sound systems. Levels of productions and collaborations, we can hear it with HIGHER LIGHT on "Mr Gunman", in 2017 under the Brigante Records label or with ODG on "Dem a Talk" in 2020.
It did not take long to establish itself through several European dates in renowned festivals such as Rototom Sunspash (ES) or Reggae Sun Ska (FR).
In 2021 TWAN TEE returned with a new album " CROSSING ". This new project mixes his influences. There are reggae dub, ska and trap aesthetics ... Songs imagined and worked with the producer ODDY.

They play new cover tunes with Jamaican sounds mixing poetry, melancholy and summer heat.
A new season starts for the BOOBOO’ZZZ ALL STARSwith a new receipe and presents the “STUDIO REGGAE BASH VOL. III” in a new format. This time the group has renewed itself and offers an album registered in their studio in which they totally mastered songs and intros. Though well-known as musicians in the past, they succeed in performing classics into Reggae and Soul styles.
The BOOBOO'ZZZ ALL STARS lives on in its originality and its freshness mixing different styles sensitively, to everyone's delight.
Despite the new protocols announced, we still don't know how the shows will be allowed to take place in fall 2022: which social distancing measures the venues should apply, what about the beverage sale and consumption, how should be controled the sanitary pass in France and the possibility for the prefectures to cancel the show until the D-day... Without forgetting the uncertainty to cross the borders and about the quarantine in each european country.
As you can imagine, a european tour must be organized several months before it starts, and it's financially balanced only if every tour date can take place.
Faced with this lack of informations, we are unfortunately forced to postpone again Groundation's tour right now, rather than risking a last minute cancelation of several dates or all the tour, which would imply a dramatic financial loss for our structure.
We are very sorry for all these inconveniences and we thank you again for your understanding and your support all along this complicated period! The tickets already bought are still valid for the new dates.

After a long year without any shows, ans without any perspectives from the French government, DANAKIL DANAKIL and Baco Music decided to create a new online event to keep the link with you. The relation with our public is what give a sense to our jobs and we miss it as much as you!
For this time, we wanted to imagine an event as important as a “real” live show: it we be recorded in the wonderful venue of the Théâtre Fémina in Bordeaux. We also would like to take advantage of the video format, more intimist and original, to make you discover the backstage, to make you see new points of vue, to animate the show with a lot of surprises, to play several new songs of Danakil’s next album… we can’t tell you more to keep the mystery! DANAKIL At the Baco Studio and during a residency near Bordeaux at "La Maison," we wanted to take this approach further while waiting for warmer in-person reunions.
