About Baco Shop

Reggae pioneer Clinton Fearon presents Jah Is Love, a masterpiece of ten powerful songs anchored in this modern world while remaining faithful to the roots of reggae music.

Jah Is Love is Clinton Fearon’s 15th album and drops just one year after the release of his previous opus, Survival Vibration. At 74 springs, Mr Fearon is definetely the most prolific Jamaican artist of his generation. These ten brand new songs were written last year with the exception of Can’t Stop Us. They show the vision of the Jamaican on our societies today, a benevolent eye always looking for light. The essential is love, reminds us once again Clinton Fearon in this album.

The music is served by the excellent Riddim Source, Clinton Fearon’s band in studio and on stage while touring Europe. The whole album was recorded in France at Baco Studio and produced by Clinton Fearon himself with his wife Catherine for their Boogie Brown Productions company.

Clinton Fearon will be touring Europe by the end of June!

The duo has been hammering out their bass, electro, dub and drum'n'bass productions for several years, winning acclaim from crowds all over Europe.

Constantly on the lookout for new ideas, they have released numerous albums, EPs, remixes and collaborations. Now Tetra Hydro K join forces with Baco Music for Booking, Distribution, Label and Publishing.

Tetra Hydro K is the name of a secret laboratory run by Doctor Kanay and Doctor Krilong. Their research focuses on combining organic elements (live musical instruments) in an electronic universe.

When specialists began to work on these mixtures, they tore out their hair to define them: Is it electronic? Acoustic? Dub? Drum'n'Bass? Why can't we stop dancing? Naturally, the duo got out of their lab to practice their experiments live, where the audience cheered them on.

So don't wait any longer to sample some of these audio substances for your ears!

After a busy festival tour (Les Ardentes, Chauffer dans la Noirceur, Esperanzah, Festidreuz...), PEET returns to French venues starting October 11th to present his latest album "À Demain", released in April 2024.

. Sergent Garcia has been making Europe and North and South America wiggle for 25 years. The term “salsamuffin”, which he invented, condenses the fusion of rumba, ska, reggae, dancehall and Latin and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, the result of his research into the musical heritages of Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica and Colombia...

Sergent Garcia, with emblematic albums such as "Un Poquito Quema'o" and "Una y Otra Vez", is the bearer of committed messages. Love, social justice and freedom are values that transcend language barriers in a musical experience accessible to all, whatever their cultural background.

This year marks the start of the SALSA MUFFIN TOUR, the band's grand return to the stage to celebrate its 25th anniversary! The tour kicks off just after a residency in April, heralding a brand-new show...

To wait a little before the tour, you can listen to and watch Sergent Garcia's brand new video clip, "Cuando Salga el Sol”, out now.

Tour dates on Baco Booking.

Originally from Brussels, Pierre Mignon, aka PEET, made a name for himself as part of the group Le 77 before branching out as a solo artist. Sensitive and authentic, the rapper's subtle lyrics captivate ever-growing crowds who come to see him perform live with his band. Last November, he played two sold-out shows at La Maroquinerie, offering a glimpse of the wild atmosphere here. He then took over the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, and you can watch the full concert here.

Following "TODO BIEN" in 2023, PEET has just announced a new album set to release on April 12! Two singles have already been released: on « Isaiah »inspired by the work of American rapper Isaiah Rashad, PEET delivers his unique flow over a dreamy beat that highlights the dreamlike and melancholic aspects of his reflections on his rise in music. In « Motel 8 », PEET takes us on a ride in the back of his Golf II convertible with singer Artÿ as co-pilot. It's a road trip with pop sounds and a feel of escape along the Pan-American Highway.

PEET and his loyal crew (VEEKO on drums, NICOLAS FELICES on bass, FERDI on saxophone, ELVIN GALLAND on piano, and MORGAN on turntables) are gearing up for a festival tour starting this spring, and a big return to Paris at La Cigale on November 23, 2024!

Danakil has remained at the top of the French reggae scene for over 20 years. After two sold-out shows at the Olympia in 2021, their next performance in Paris can only take place at the Zénith! In the meantime, they are fine-tuning many new releases to be revealed in 2024. As you already know, there's nothing better than experiencing them live to discover all this! The atmosphere at their concerts is always filled with camaraderie with their audience, reflecting the deep connection between the members of the “Danakil family” that has lasted all these years. The high quality of their shows has also contributed to their reputation, and this one at the Zénith promises to be unforgettable!

Starting from a teenage dream in a rehearsal room at the MJC, Danakil gradually found the right chemistry between each member’s inspirations and talents, blending the Jamaican roots of reggae with the French language. They met an audience drawn to their authenticity and humanity. They have kept these values at the heart of all their projects and have done everything to preserve them, first by self-producing their albums and later by creating their own label to maintain their freedom. Baco Music has grown and now supports many artists in all aspects of their careers: recording in its studio, album production, tours, promotion, and more.

Danakil’s evolution has led them to perform dozens of shows every year in France, including at major festivals (Francofolies, Solidays, Fête de l’Huma, Summerjam, Rototom Sunsplash, No Logo, Reggae Sun Ska...), in the most renowned venues, and during concerts advocating for causes they support (SOS Méditerranée, Solidays, Nuit Debout…). Together, they have traveled the world performing in the Caribbean, Canada, New Caledonia, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Réunion, Mauritius, and throughout Europe. They have released six albums, recorded numerous dub versions, several live performances, and collaborated on stage or in the studio with many renowned artists. They’ve even won a gold record and a platinum single for the classic "Marley"! Ultimately, it’s their unique imprint, stamped with independence and activism, that they have left on the French music scene, far beyond the reggae world.

Brussels rapper PEET continues his conquest of the capital! After two sold-out dates at La Maroquinerie in November 2023, he will be back at La Cigale on Saturday, November 23, 2024. The countdown has begun!

In recent years, Peet has made a name for himself on the Belgian rap scene. With his jazzy boom bap and cosy, mellow rap, he settles us into his "quality slacker" couch, sometimes inviting a few acolytes on his albums (JeanJass, Primero, Roméo Elvis, Zwangere Guy, Swing), and takes us along on his introspective nocturnal ride, with its bewitching jazz sounds and heady lyrics.

But that's not all: if PEET likes to let himself go and explore his feelings, he's also at ease transmitting his boundless energy in a fraction of a second, shiffting over a trap instrument and a perfectly mastered flow, instantly provoking a number of irrepressible pogos in concert. At his side, a family as talented as they are unbridled: VEEKO on drums, NICOLAS FELICES on bass, FERDI on saxophone, ELVIN GALLAND on piano and his lifelong companion, MORGAN, on turntables.

In 2023, the album « TODO BIEN » revealed a lyrical rap, with a mix of everyday poetry and laid-back humor, and a number of top-quality collaborations: JEANJASS, the man who dribbles with words, PRIMERO (L'Or du Commun), the silver nib with the golden voice, and ROMÉO ELVIS, the crocodile trainer with the cutting flow.

Latest gem : the track « Isaiah » (inspired by the work of American rapper Isaiah Rashad), in which he shares his thoughts on his rise in the music world over a steamy instrumental co-produced with his bassist. This track heralds a series of new tracks that the team are just finishing up, to be discovered in 2024!

Full house for Peet is filling up every venue along the way!

His recent shows in Orléans, Tourcoing, and two big Parisian dates on November 11 and 12 at La Maroquinerie were all sold out! Peet isn't stopping there, as his Brussels show on November 24 at Ancienne Belgique is also completely booked.

A huge thank you to everyone for making these successes possible!

For those who missed it, the music video for "Isaïah", the latest gem from the artist who describes himself as a "quality slacker," is available right here. The Brussels rapper shares his thoughts on his rise in the music scene with a humble and touchingly sensitive approach.

Sergent Garcia joins Baco Booking and will be touring in 2024 with a new album!

For 25 years, Sergent Garcia has been getting Europe and North and South America to move with his infectious rhythms. The term "salsamuffin" that he coined encapsulates the fusion of rumba, ska, reggae, dancehall, and Latin and Afro-Caribbean rhythms, all born from his research into the musical legacies of Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica, Colombia, and more.

His political commitment, his clear stance in support of minorities, migrants, and environmental protection, are central themes in his songs, some of which are anthems of resistance and courage.

With no fewer than 9 albums and 3 successful EPs, including a nomination for the Victoires de la Musique and another at the Latin Grammys, he has marked numerous generations and become a reference for many artists. His timeless music has evolved with each project, from productions made at home with machines to recordings with a full band of musicians, dub versions created in his sailboat studio "Guakamayo," live albums, and more. Every time, we get to enjoy a unique new recipe from the Sargento!

In 2024, Sergent Garcia will deliver a new album to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his band, which will be touring in full force: an outstanding lineup of musicians from Cuba, Spain, French Guiana, and mainland France, with brass sections, percussionists, and backing vocalists. They'll be celebrating this milestone and album release while bringing their legendary classics ("Amor pa Mi," "Yo soy Salsamuffin," "Les Desaparecidos," "Yo me voy pa' la Cumbia," "Tonite"…) to life. This is a live experience not to be missed!

PROTOJE is back in Paris on Saturday, October 21, 2023 ! This time he'll be treading the boards of the legendary Olympia, accompanied by his band THE INDIGGNATION and LILA IKÉ special guest !

The years have gone by, and from his 2014 hit "Who Knows" with Chronixx (180 million views on YouTube), to his second Grammy nomination this year for his album "THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM" (following the nomination of the album "A MATTER OF TIME" in 2018), PROTOJE continues to establish himself as one of the best precursors of the new generation of Jamaican reggae artists. He has rapidly risen to become one of the biggest headliners in this style, and maintains this position with ease thanks to the singular artistic vision he applies to his largely hip-hop-tinged reggae, which is always surprising, authentic and ahead of its time.

His latest projects have been praised by the media far beyond Jamaica and reggae channels: Vogue, Billboard, the BBC, Trace TV, Le Monde, Télérama, Rolling Stone, Nova, FIP, Le Mouv', RFI...

He continues to tour the world's biggest festivals, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds, Rototom Sunsplash, Reggae Sumfest, Summerjam, Dour, Les Eurockéennes, Cabaret Vert and Boomtown Festival. They have played several hundred concerts in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, including support slots for LAURYN HILL. In the U.K., they made history with CHRONIXX, attracting over 10,000 people to the Alexandra Palace. At Summerjam in 2022, they closed the festival on the main stage with an anthology concert.

On September 2022, PROTOJE released « THIRD TIME’S THE CHARM" his sixth studio album, recorded in his home studio The Habitat, in the hills of Kingston. With " A MATTER OF TIME " and " IN SEARCH OF LOST TIME" THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM" closes a trilogy revolving around the idea of time. Each of these albums reflects a new pivotal period in PROTOJE's life, prompting new reflections and visions of the world, and personal and professional introspection, as a man, a father and an artist.

With this opus, PROTOJE has kept his deep reggae roots while integrating the hip-hop sounds and beats he has grown to love. The result is a strong, critically acclaimed album featuring featurings with JORJA SMITH, LILA IKÉ , JESSE ROYAL and SAMORY I. What could be better than to hear these new tracks live in the optimal conditions offered by the Olympia?

PROTOJE exceptionally invites the singer LILA IKÉ to share the Olympia stage for a unique show, presented for the first time in Paris! Two artists at the forefront of Jamaican reggae for an unprecedented performance! Supported by PROTOJE since the very beginning, LILA IKÉ has cleared every stage in record time, thanks to her sublime voice, which she modulates with disarming ease and simplicity, and her surprisingly free and daring personality. This rising reggae star now plays dates all over the world, at the biggest European and American reggae festivals, and creates an inevitable attraction for each and every one of her listeners.

Two months before PEET 's show at La Maroquinerie on November 11th, the concert is already sold out! A big thank you to the quickest among you, it's going to be wild! Don't worry if you missed out, a second date has been announced for the following day, Sunday, November 12th, so hurry and book your tickets !

Peet is stepping into the spotlight of the Belgian rap scene, alongside the likes of Roméo Elvis, Caballero & JeanJass, L'Or du commun… Hailing from Brussels, he made a name for himself as part of the group LE 77 before branching out solo, with a more personal musical universe.

This year, Peet is back with "TODO BIEN", a new album featuring several quality collaborations: JEANJASS, the wordplay master, PRIMERO (L'Or du Commun), the silver pen with the golden voice, and ROMÉO ELVIS, the croc whisperer with a cutting flow. The album offers a lyrical rap, with Peet blending everyday poetry and irony, all with his signature humor.

Although he calls himself a "lazy quality" artist, it's clear that Peet doesn’t skimp on production quality, much of which he composed himself. Jazzy boom bap, cozy and soft rap, introspective nocturnal rides with mesmerizing jazz sounds... but that's not all—if Peet enjoys exploring his emotions, he's just as skilled at making heads nod with trap beats that'll make your neck snap at live shows.

Don’t miss out—experience it live at La Maroquinerie!

For this, he’s dropping a quirky trap beat, just like the lyrics the rapper is sending from Belgium to his upcoming concerts. This new single "Festivaux" will fit perfectly into any festival playlist this summer!

No worries, if you want to extend your summer vibes, this tour will include a Parisian date on November 11th at La Maroquinerie ! Come check out the guy who describes himself as a “lazy pro” in a show that will definitely keep you turning up all night long!

After a great tour in May, Groundation are back on the road this evening for two weeks of European dates !

It's not just a series of concerts, but an opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album Hebron Gate ! This opus entered the reggae "must-have" list as soon as it was released, and propelled Groundation into new spheres and worldwide recognition, not least thanks to unanimous critical acclaim.

It's an absolute symbiosis of roots reggae and experimental jazz, unfurled to perfection by virtuoso musicians and backing singers, who take us on a journey through shattering climbs and explosions, dazzling solos, dub or jazz flights of fancy, and surprisingly intimate passages... Combined with the distinctive voice and energy of Harrison Stafford, whose mystical power can be felt from the very first notes, the mass is said and we experience a veritable revelation! If need be, legends Cédric Myton (The Congos) and Don Carlos (Black Uhuru) join forces on the last two tracks to round things off in style.

Every musician, every note, every sound is precisely and simply in its place on the 9 tracks, and the magic works, creating a real gem that shakes up the world of reggae and proves the band's incomparable artistic quality.

Harrison has a note for you... he's waiting for you! Watch it just here.
