BIOGRAPHY

Peet is one of the leading figures of the new Belgian scene, and is gradually conquering France! A songwriter, singer, and beatmaker, he made a name for himself with the group Le 77 before going solo. His writing is unique, poetic, sensitive, and authentic. He draws inspiration from personal stories that resonate with an entire generation, from urban setbacks and life stories.

Project after project, he remains in the field of urban music, but has nevertheless refined a style nourished by very diverse influences and found his balance. With his upcoming album Joyboy (February 27, 2026), he returns to his love of instruments, delivering an even more personal, organic album, carried by an ever more confident musical sensibility. It features rounded, jazzy sounds, imbued with soul and funk, but also a more pop-oriented and luminous aesthetic than before, thanks in part to the talented musicians who have accompanied him for years. At 32 years old, ten of which he has devoted to rap, Peet confides, “I've evolved in my writing and learned to use my voice better.” The album title comes from One Piece. "I'm a big fan of this manga. He's a character who comes to bring order to a world that's not doing well. I wouldn't describe myself exactly like that. But he's someone who has been through a lot.“ Literally meaning ”happy boy," Joyboy becomes a metaphor here: finding inner peace, keeping hope alive despite doubts, becoming an adult. Through these new tracks, Peet questions his doubts, explores his relationships with his loved ones, invites us on a journey, addresses the ups and downs of his life as an artist, and talks about resilience. With complete sincerity, his gaze turned toward the sky. On the live side, he has performed on the stages of many renowned concert halls and festivals such as the Dour Festival, Les Ardentes, Sziget, Les Francofolies de SPA, Couleur Café... His last visit to Paris was at La Cigale, in a packed venue that resulted in a filmed live album. From the very first notes, the audience was won over by the raw energy he exudes with his live band, their generosity, and the emotion they share. 2026 looks set to be a promising year with the eagerly awaited release of Joyboy, more and more concerts, and two headline dates at the Olympia in Paris on November 28, 2026, and at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels on November 6, 2026!
