BIOGRAPHY
The legend Pablo Moses, recognizable like no other by his brassy tone of voice, has written many of his albums to Jamaican musical heritage. Pablo Moses is first and foremost a man of unwavering commitment and activism. A spokesperson for the Rasta movement, he has since its beginnings been rocked by the thought of black militant philosophers such as Steve Biko, Marcus Garvey and Stokely Carmichael, with a committed vision of the fate of black men in general and Jamaica in particular. Continuing to educate himself throughout his career, Pablo Moses speaks in his songs about the origins of Rastafarianism in Ethiopia and encourages the Rastafarian "Back to African Roots" movement in a positive message.
Since his first album, "Revolutionary Dream," in 1975, and his first major hit, the single "I Man a Grasshopper," he has consistently collaborated with the greatest producers and leading figures in reggae. It was also with this album that he achieved international renown, which was further solidified with his subsequent albums, including "A Song," "Pave the Way," "In the Future," "Tension," "Live to Love," "We Refuse," "Confession of a Rastaman," "Mission," "In the Future Dub," and "The Rebirth." A prolific and exceptional artist, he has continued to train and experiment throughout his career while remaining deeply connected to new generations of artists and curious about the evolution of reggae music. Pablo Moses has joined the Baco Music artists. His arrival marked the release of his entire discography (previously incomplete) on streaming platforms. In May 2026, a BEST OF album is released. This album brings together his most powerful tracks: "A Song," "Ready, Aim, Fire," "Life of a Big Shot," "Music Is My Desire," the legendary and incantatory "Revolutionary Dream" and "Dubbing Is a Must," the spirituality of "The Spirit of Jah," and the politically charged "We Should Be in Angola" and "The Confession of a Rastaman." Pablo Moses has this incredible ability to deliver songs that are simultaneously speeches, prayers, and powerful statements.
