After a vibrant first chapter - marked by their support from FAIR, a notable appearance on the « Emily in Paris » soundtrack, a strong partnership with France Inter, FIP, and Radio Nova, and dozens of concerts stretching as far as China and South America - Toukan Toukän is now embracing a breath of fresh air and a new album in the making!
The duo returns with melancholic indie-pop, where every sound has been chosen with love. Somewhere between the groove of Metronomy, the folk freedom of The Dø, and the sunny electro of L’Impératrice, the Toukan Toukän duo is now joined by additional musicians on stage and in the studio to make their resolutely pop new songs even more danceable and organic. To tide fans over until the album’s release, a first video preview of this new lineup has been released, titled « Green Room Session » featuring three previously unreleased tracks. Toukan Toukän is setting its course, while letting itself be carried by the wind — that of the album Sirocco — further emphasizing this desire for freedom and connection with the audience, as if building a shelter together against the end of the world. It’s a luminous, curious pop that feels good.
