BIOGRAPHY
Since 2002, and her first album “HARVEST TIME”, CHEZIDEK has continued to grow. Author of several hits, “Leave The Trees” (2004), “Call Pon Dem” (2007) or the unmissable “All My Life” (2013) which totals nearly 30 million views on YouTube, the Jamaican native of St .Ann’s Bay has worked with big names in reggae. Animated by the Rastafarian culture, the singer puts his angelic voice in the service of justice and seizes political and spiritual subjects. THE LIGERIANS was born in 2010 to accompany the singer ROD ANTON in the production of his first album “Reasonin” and are the founders of the label SoulNurse Records. They have hundreds of concerts all over Europe and have collaborated with many artists such as JOE PILGRIM, PATRICE, PROTOJE, ORELSAN, TIKEN JAH FAKOLY, GLENN WASHINGTON or MARCUS GAD. In June 2019, the group accompanies for the first time CHEZIDEK at a concert on the European tunee of the Jamaican artist. The spontaneous complicity between the artists is transformed into a real understanding of which will be born the album “TIMELESS”, fruit of the meeting. “Beat Dem” is the first single from the album. This single alone represents the musical and spiritual communion of the protagonists: a rub a dub concocted by the best roots reggae band of the hexagon and the angelic and cutting voice of CHEZIDEK.
Animé par la culture Rastafari, le chanteur met sa voix angélique au service de la justice et s’empare de sujets politiques et spirituels. The Ligerians est né en 2010 pour accompagner le chanteur Rod Anton dans la production de son premier album « Reasonin » et sont les fondateurs du label SoulNurse Records. Ils ont a leur actif des centaines de concerts dans toute l’Europe et ont notamment collaboré avec de nombreux artistes tels que Joe Pilgrim, Patrice, Protoje, Orelsan, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Glenn Washington ou encore Marcus Gad. En juin 2019, le groupe accompagne pour la première fois Chezidek à l’occasion d’un concert sur la tounée européenne de l’artiste jamaicain. La complicité spontanée entre les artistes se transforme en une véritable entente de laquelle naitra l’album Timeless, fruit de leur rencontre. « Beat Dem » est le premier single extrait de l’album. Ce single représente à lui seul la communion musicale et spirituelle des protagonistes : un rub a dub concocté par le meilleur groupe de reggae roots de l’hexagone et la voix angélique et tranchante de Chezidek. Le magnifique Vidéo Clip a été réalisé par Sherkan en Jamaïque, un régal pour les yeux et les oreilles.
