As BOB MARLEY predicted it: when Reggae reached Africa, it took new dimension enriched with various musical influences, other cultures and many talented artists. Like MANJUL, Reggae needed to go back to its roots and homeland. Touched by Reggae music at his first age MANJUL defends and promotes this music since his debuts building studios recording all over the world, particularly in Indian Ocean and Africa, participating and producing albums for artists like TIKEN JAH FAKOLY, AMADOU & MARIAM, SUGAR MINOTT, AFRICAN BROTHERS, DANAKIL, TOUMANI DIABATÉ, NATTY JEAN, or TAKANA ZION…
One day he wanted to bring together all his competences on a project which could became his AND, like a social cultural and spiritual testimony of life. With ”DUB TO MALI”, MANJUL mix Reggae Roots and traditional Jamaican Dub with various musical genres from Mali and neighbouring countries.
