BIOGRAPHY
With their eyes riveted on independent music from across the Channel, past and present, brother-sister duo Fallen Alien develop their songwriting in a small studio on Brittany's north coast, which has been expanded over the years. A clear reference to a song by British singer FKA Twigs, Fallen Alien finds ways to bring together seemingly irreconcilable worlds. The Alien is both their music, with its multiple influences, from Kae Tempest to King Krule via MGMT, and the figure through which the duo endeavors to tell the world.
Fallen Alien distills a music free of classic pop structures, rich in shifting atmospheres. It is carried by a rhythmic base with trip-hop accents, adorned with guitars and analog synthesizers. Cole's vocals move back and forth between storytelling and an abrupt look at reality, evolving between stark spoken-word and dark lyricism. Joined on stage by two other musicians, the duo deliver a live performance that resembles an emotional trip, driven by Cole's charismatic voice.
